Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Dr. Natalia Kanem, MPH from the United States accompanied by UNFPA Representative Indonesia, Ms. Anjali Sen and members of the delegation paid a visit to Prima Medika Hospital on June 12 2023, received directly by the Director of Prima Medika Hospital, Dr. Putu Dian Ekawati, MPH and her staff.
The visit of the UNFPA delegation, which is the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, is a form of appreciation to Prima Medika General Hospital for being consistent in improving access and quality of Hospital Family Planning services (PKBRS), as well as seeing first-hand the innovation and implementation that has been carried out by Prima Medika Hospital as one of the one of the Leading Hospitals for Family Planning Services in Indonesia designated by the RI BKKBN.
This visit was coupled with FGD activities on Strengthening Hospital Family Planning Services (PKBRS) with resource persons by the Head of the KD Service Intensification Work Team at the BKBBN RI Health Facility, Dr. PKRS Prima Medika Team.
The event was opened with remarks by the Director for Access to Family Planning Services BKKBN RI, Dr. H Zamhir Setiawan, M.Epid, followed by a presentation on the activities and achievements of the Prima Medika PKRS Program by Dr. HM Ilyas Angsar, SpOG (K). The event closed with an exchange of mementos by both parties and a field visit to the family planning service unit.
